Tassos D. Recachinas, CFA is Founder, President & Chief Investment Officer of Sophis Investments LLC. Mr. Recachinas previously served as an Investment Analyst at Pirate Capital LLC, an activist and event-driven hedge fund sponsor. Mr. Recachinas began his career as an Equity Research Associate at Raymond James & Associates, where he provided institutional equity research coverage on Defense Electronics & Mobile Data Technology securities. Mr. Recachinas served on the Board of Directors of The Allied Defense Group, Inc., a multinational defense company, as well as a member of its Strategic Review and Compensation Committees. Mr. Recachinas has helped advise a variety of companies spanning a broad array of industries to maximize shareholder value. Mr. Recachinas was born in Washington D.C. and raised in Fairfield, CT. He earned a B.S. summa cum laude, Mechanical Engineering concentration in Aerospace Engineering, from The George Washington University, as a member of the university’s Honors program. He spent one year at The University of Oxford, Pembroke College. Mr. Recachinas is a CFA® charterholder.
